2015 has seen the completion of The Granary, and the welcoming of its first guests in February, in addition we completed our Biomass install in December 2014 which now supplies green heating and hot water to the farm and all of its guest accommodation.
A busy year to say the least, we have seen a steady growth in our customer base, with more and more people showing an interest in knowing where their food comes from, and supporting our green values through choosing our farm stay as their green holiday destination of choice.
Our Trip Advisor Reviews have reflected our efforts to accommodate the needs of our guests, and provide families with a relaxing rural retreat, in the Heart of Shakespeare’s England. Our reviews can be found here: Guest Feedback
Our meat sales have grown this year with more of our guests, purchasing our farm reared meats direct from the farm with our sausages being by far the most popular product amongst our Self Catering Guests.
2016 will see the installation of our Glass House and the expansion of our Come Grow With Us Programme enabling both guests and our wider community to have a further understanding in the role farming has to play in all of our futures.
We are now able to offer free Wifi to all of our guests throughout both properties and outside areas, enabling our guests to share great content about their Farm Stay With us which is captured in this photo from Summer 2015:
Inkberrow Young Farmers joined us for Carol Singing again this year on the Farm, and their continued engagement and support is much appreciated in helping the Farm to grow in its reach within the local Community.
Our Farm Stay bookings contribute an estimated £52,000 to local spending, including eating out and visits to our stunning regional attractions, this forms a significant contribution to the growth and sustainability of the rural community.
Thanks to our increasing customer base the farm has been able to invest in green technologies enabling it and our future guests to lessen our carbon footprint during their stay, the farm now produces two thirds of its electricity consumption through its solar panels and Led lighting and other power saving technologies have significantly helped us to both reduce costs and improve accessibility to the whole farm.
